Are you a fan of shrimp? You might become a bigger fan when you find out that shrimp are indeed an aphrodisiac. The little crustacean is known for being used to create sensual delights to captures people’s heart and more importantly their body.
The history of shrimp being sexy goes back to Casanova who said that shrimp made him get in the mood for making love. Famous courtesan and mistress, Madame Du Barry, served up shrimp in champagne sauce as her dish of seduction. In the sensuous Caribbean, some people think that if you eat shrimp during lovemaking it doubles the pleasure. That sounds like something definitely worth investigating.
Shrimps are packed with iodine like quite a few of the aphrodisiacs that are seafood. It is a proven fact that being low in iodine reduces a person’s sex drive. The iodine helps out the thyroid gland, a gland that regulates energy which includes your sexual energy. Shrimps also are good for omega-3 fatty acids something that the body needs for circulation. Good circulation makes for a happy and healthy erection.
Next time you want to seduce your lover with a meal whip up a shrimp dish to arouse their senses and kick their sex drive high gear. Put shrimp with other aphrodisiacs such as garlic, coconut, or even champagne just like Madame Du Barry.

Most people are surprised when I tell them that the banana is an aphrodisiac. They know that the shape suggests something, but do not know that it packs a serious punch to the libido when eaten. Who would have thought that besides using a banana to learn how to give a good blowjob, there are other benefits?
Obviously, the phallic shape of the banana is great for giving someone who loves a nice penis a twinkle in their eye. The banana flower as a whole is quite erotic. It has phallus tapers and a bulb shaped base. The feel of the banana is also soft and fleshy adding to the sensual aspect of the fruit.
A little unknown fact is that women would use bananas as dildos before vibrators were so readily available. In Central America they drink the sap from the red banana, which is sweeter and softer than the yellow banana and known to be an elixir of love. The Hindus regard bananas as a sign of fertility. There is an Islamic myth that states that Adam and Eve did not cover themselves in fig leaves, but in banana leaves to cover their nudity.
Bananas are full of vitamins A. B. C, potassium, protein, iron, and fiber. It also contains the enzyme, bromelain which can be great for the production of testosterone.
Bananas would be great as your finger food for foreplay. You can accompany with another aphrodisiac by dipping in either honey or chocolate.

Figs are a fabulous fruit aphrodisiac with a voluptuous shape, a sweet dark flesh with a honey scent, and a unique texture to the tongue. There is a legend has that eating a fresh fig while naked in front of a woman is at the top of the list for performing an erotic act.
Curvy temptress Cleopatra loved figs and when she decided to take her own life they were a part of her last luxurious meal. Also she had the cobra that she used to poison herself sent to her hidden in a basket of figs.
The ancient Greeks thought figs were sacred and associated them with love and fertility. The Romans believed figs were a gift from the god of intoxication, Bacchus. In some European countries figs are thrown at weddings instead of rice. Another fun fact about figs is that is it is believed that an open fig emulates the female sex organs. Next time you see a fig take a look to see if you agree. There are from between 30 to 1, 600 seeds per fig which demonstrates the symbol of fertility.
The fig is one of the first recorded scandalous fruit. Adam and Eve covered themselves in fig leaves in the Garden of Eden making some scholars believe that the forbidden fruit was actually a fig and not an apple.
While there are many sexy reasons to nosh on figs, there are many health benefits to the little fruit. Figs have a higher quantity of fiber than any other dried or fresh fruit which is great to protect against breast and colon cancer. They are also a great source of of calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, and iron.
There are many great recipes to choose from that use figs. You can also just keep it simple and just feed your lover figs in bed.

This weekend, while waiting on my tax appointment — traumatic in its own right — I decided to kick my crazy up a notch, and read up on men. Lucky for me, Men’s Health was nearby.
It turned out to be quite fascinating though – they surveyed nearly 1,900 women to find out what they thought on foreplay. Survey results found that 68 percent of women considered excellent foreplay very important to orgasms.
Follow these three sexy tips from the April issue of Men’s Health to help you heat up your partner in a hurry.
Priority #1: Clear Her Mind –
Foreplay begins hours before you actually move to the bedroom. Engage her mind and eliminate messy distractions, like dirty dishes, to make sure she’s focused on you.
Do this: Let the compliment sink in. Flirt with your woman to make her feel sexy in a deep and meaningful way; if your compliments are hot, she will be too.
And this: Sext with specifics. Naughty text messages will put her in the mood, especially if your messages are descriptive. If she plays along, increase your sexting’s explicit nature to build tension.
Priority #2: Mix it Up –
Variety is an aphrodisiac. Engage in different sex acts to increase her chances of obtaining an orgasm.
Do this: Reach her mind. Figure out what she’s into by purchasing erotic books to inspire sultry ideas.
And this: Tell her – between caresses – how hot she is. Women who feel more confident about their appearance below the belt are more likely to experience orgasm – compliment the view to make her feel sexy.
Priority #3: Take Your Time – And Make It Count –
Don’t rush: Draw out foreplay to increase lust. This also allows your woman’s body to rev up its natural lubrication.
Do this: Explore her with your hands. Warm her up by moving your finger inside her in circles, rather than using the practiced in-and-out motion. This causes her to expand a few inches, making sex more pleasurable for both of you.
And this: Engage her breasts. 82% of women say that their breasts are an arousal zone. Touch, kiss, and caress all parts of her breasts to increase sensitivity and arousal.

A few years ago, cookie swaps where all the rage, there is a way to put a sexy spin on it. Instead of a cookie swap, have an aphrodisiac dessert swap. The only requirements are everything has to be homemade and an aphrodisiac. It creates a sensual and sexy experience with food that is sure to be a fun night with your friends whether it is a girl’s night or dessert party.
Some aphrodisiac dessert suggestions to get you thinking about what you could make:
Chocolate cake
Honey Fig
Baked Pear
Pumpkin Pie
Peppermint Ice Cream
Brownies with pecans
If you are organizing the dessert swap, you will probably end up as the host for this event. Make sure that you have a table big enough to hold the plates of desserts that your guests will be bringing. Most of the guests may be planning on taking the dessert home, so you’ll want to serve some refreshments. Something light to nosh on will do the trick.
Send out an evite (www.evite.com) or make calls to let people know when and where the swap will take place. Tell everyone that they must make something homemade, no exceptions .Even if they can not cook; they have to pull out their best Martha Stewart routine. Let them know about how much dessert to make. You might also want to tell your guests to bring copies of the recipes for the dessert that they make. Along with the dessert, your guests can swap their recipes. Everyone loves a good recipe for succulent and decadent food. Get some tins or plastic containers for the guests to wrap up their take home dessert to take home. You are on your way to having a delicious and sexy event!

The Spanish fly is legendary for being an aphrodisiac, but did you know that is it a deadly aphrodisiac? This emerald green beetle may look harmless, but if ingested you may not live to tell about it. Those who have dared to eat the bitter aphrodisiac despite the risk include Henry IV, Marquis de Sade, and Louis XIV.
To get the aphrodisiac power from the Spanish fly, it is crushed and taken orally, once excreted in the urine it irritates the urethra, causing inflammation in the genitals. It helps men have longer erections and causes arousal in women.
There is a catch; the Spanish fly will cause severe blisters in your mouth and throat. As if that wasn’t enough, you will have abdominal pain, bloody discharge, and probably vomit later. Does that sound sexy to you? Not so fast it there is more to think about. Your kidneys will probably fail and there will be permanent damage to your genitals.
What makes the Spanish fly a deadly aphrodisiac is due to the poisonous component in the beetle, known as Cantharidin. Though it is only 5% Cantharidin it is enough to cause extreme deadly damage.
The Spanish fly is illegal in the United States. It is however given to animals to arouse them to mate with each other. It is also used by doctors to remove warts. If you really must get a fix of the Spanish fly, go for the one of the knock of version, such as The Mexican Spanish Fly. It is an herbal supplement that comes in a capsule with cayenne, ginseng, kelp, ginger, and gota kola.

Both the green and black olives are natural aphrodisiacs. Use them to spice up your palate and your plate for a taste of succulent seduction with your mate.
Olives date back over 8, 000 years from the Mediterranean. All olives actually start off green. They are picked in different stages and gradually turn from green to black as they ripen. Olives are one of the only fruits that can not be eaten right off the tree. Unripe olives are packed with bitterness; they are cured in water or salt to make them edible.
When it comes to being an aphrodisiac, the green olive is believed to make men more virile. While black olives are known for increasing a woman’s sex drive.
Besides increasing your libido, olives are jam packed with health benefits. Being healthy is crucial to having a good sex life. Olives help prevent heart disease, prevent colon cancer, and one of the best reasons to eat olives is that is prevent frequency of hot flashes for women going through menopause.
Mix up this green and black olive tapenade to serve up next time you and your boo have a romantic dinner at home. Having both olives in the dish should get your both in the mood for a round or two of making delicious love making.

Activate your taste and smell with an aphrodisiac such as cinnamon to get you in a sexy mood. Since recorded history cinnamon has been praised as an aphrodisiac that increases sexual desires.
Cinnamon is thought of as being one of the best spices for bringing on the “heat” in the body, because it increases the appetite, both physical and sexual. It arouses women and men, but the smell seems to really get men going.
To test out the cinnamon theory, I conducted my own cinnamon experiment by adding the scent of cinnamon to my perfume oil, Honeymoon Heat. The day I wore the perfume, men are all over me and asking me what I was wearing. It worked like a charm, far more than I thought it would. In a recent study men were surveyed to response to fragrance, the most seductive scent to them was a spicy cinnamon roll.
Keep a little cinnamon stashed in a cache next to your bed so that you can whip it out and take a sniff as part of your foreplay. You may also want to get cinnamon oil. It is said that a drop of cinnamon oil rubbed onto the genitals produces powerful sexual stimulation.
As a bonus, Cinnamon has health benefits. It is known to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar. Sexy and healthy is always hot in the boudoir!
