Unexpected leather
Of course leather jackets and bags are hot for fall. But this year, we’ll see more leather in unexpected places. Plenty of leather A-line skirts and dresses are popping up in stores right now. Daytime glitz

When shopping for clothes for fall, look for blouses and sweaters with unusual necklines. We love this soft, roomy sweater from Donna Karan with its beautiful foldover off-the-shoulder neckline.

 This fall, fur will be “in” once again. But this year, look for jackets, coats and other fall pieces with just touches of fur, rather than completely made from fur.
This Jean Paul Gaultier jacket pictured here is a prime example of the trend. This fleece jacket features classic Fair Isle print trim and a two-way zipper.
The highlight of this hip-length jacket, however, is the Mongolian lamb peplum hem. This fluffy hemline gives this piece just enough pizazz without being overdone.

Burgundy, bordeaux, merlot — we love the shades of wine in fashion for fall.
If you find yourself wearing too much black and gray when fall rolls around, this year get into wine. Wine hues look great when partnered with everything from gray and silver to brown and cream.
