Fur (or faux fur) is, of course, hot for fall. Today, we look at three fabulous fur pieces that we love this season.
Fur vest
The fur vest is very trendy for fall. What was originally about $100 on HSN is now just $25 on clearance. The Hot in Hollywood Faux Fur Vest is gorgeous and comes in gray or black. You have to snag this deal soon or it’s going to be sold out.
Fur wrap
Wrap up in warmth and glamour with a faux fur stole. This plush ivory stole is absolutely gorgeous with its foldover neckline and sophisticated style. The Eliza J Faux Fur Stole is only $88 and available now at Nordstrom in sizes XS through XL.
Fur booties
For a real splurge, dress up your feet with furry booties. We adore these Fendi booties. They are made with natural raccoon … so they aren’t animal friendly, but their beautiful. The fur covers a suede upper and the golden-buckled straps add a nice finishing touch. The Fendi fur-front booties are priced at $1,750.

One way to take the emphasis off of problem areas, like hips and thighs, is to put the focus on your top.
This summer, look for tops and blouses with unique necklines, interesting patterns and unusual shapes. Here are three of our favorite summer tops. Partner them with a solid, simple skirt, shorts or capris.

You have to love this watery abstract pattern. Pair this silky top with your favorite black pants or a pencil skirt at the office. The halter neckline is sexy and sophisticated. $92 at Nordstrom.

The loose cowl neck and fluid silhouette of this top make it really special. This belted blouse is created from stretch silk for comfort and a beautiful drape. $158 at Nordstrom.

Diane von Furstenberg always offers amazing prints — and this top is no exception. Featuring a blue and white abstract animal pattern, this silky blouse has a figure-flattering shape and adjustable drawstrings at the shoulders. $245 at Nordstrom.

Green jewelry is very popular right now in shades from neon green to deep jade. If you are going to splurge on a piece of jewelry, I recommend finding a shade of green that can be worn all year round with almost anything in your closet.
The Emilio Pucci glass crystal and stone-embellished cuff is a beautiful choice. This bracelet features green crystals and jade stones that will stand out, whether you are wearing your favorite LBD or a breezy white cotton frock. This cuff looks like a million bucks and doesn’t come cheap — it’s priced at $895 at net-a-porter.com.
For a bit of a bargain, check out this jade bead and leather wrap bracelet. This bracelet is priced at just $58 at the “A Modern Philosophy” Etsy shop. This pretty bracelet signifies success, luck and longevity.

Everyone wears UGGs when the cold weather rolls around, but not many people actually like how they look. However in recent years, UGG Australia has expanded their line of shoes and boots to offer interesting styles to go along with their signature comfort.

This year, we love the UGG Australia Brienne boot. These boots have a soft suede upper highlighted by a buckle tab strap. Of course, they also have UGG’s genuine shearling footbed, so they you’ll be comfortable all day.
These UGG boots are available now at Nordstrom.com on pre-order, priced at $199.95 in black or fawn.

This summer, get into stripes. Nautical stripes are certainly hot, but they aren’t the only stripes you can find. Abstract stripes are really “in.”

Bargain choice – Stripes that are uneven and wavy, running vertically, highlight this summer dress. This comfy dress can be worn casually or out to a summer party with the right accessories. This sleeveless dress features a self-tie belt hiding the elastic waistline. You can get this satiny striped dress for $24.80 at Forever 21.

Splurge-worthy – Graphic, edgy stripes in black, white and gray add a nice dimension to this boatneck dress. This dress has long sleeves and a self-tie sash at the waist. The Alice by Temperley dress has a beautiful drape and a wrap-like tulip skirt. This designer dress is available now at net-a-porter.com, marked down from $375 to just $225.

Shopping out of season is one of the biggest ways to save big bucks on clothes. Sure, you might feel funny picking out a swimsuit in November, but you’ll have a lot more money leftover to spend on other clothes and accessories.
Right now is a fantastic time to buy a new coat. Stores are trying to make room for fall inventory, so they are willing to give deep discounts on leftovers from last year.
This fall, coats in dark green, chocolate brown and charcoal gray will be hot. Coats with a longer silhouette — such as trenches and anoraks — will also be trendy.

We love this DKNY Melissa belted coat pictured here. The color (fatigue olive) is fabulous and the cut is nice as it is slightly flared. You can get this coat now at Nordstrom right now, marked down from $118 to just under $59.

At the MTV Movie Awards Afterparty on Sunday night, Emma Watson carried a Judith Leiber “Figure Eight” clutch in Karun. Emma partnered her clutch with a vibrant green dress by Marchesa.
Emma wasn’t the only one carrying a Judith Leiber bag. Lily Collins carried the “Guilloche” in Antique Gold on the red carpet. Lily paired her clutch with a fun leopard print dress from Dolce & Gabbana.
