When the cold weather fades away, boots and sweaters are tossed aside in favor of sundresses and sandals. To stretch your clothing budget and to ease your way into the season, you can incorporate many of your winter favorites into your spring wardrobe. With a little layering and some great transitional pieces, your early spring wardrobe will look fabulous.
Cardigans
Cardigan sweaters are staples during winter but they can also make their way into your spring rotation. Cardigans are perfect for cool mornings and evenings. Slip one on over your favorite strapless dress, tank top or tee. If the weather warms up in the afternoon, you can just slip it off. Denim jackets are also a fantastic choice for transitioning from winter to spring.
Peep-toe booties
Peep-toe booties are oh-so trendy and they aren’t just for wintertime. Because they have an open toe and oftentimes cut-out sides, you can wear these booties all year round. For spring, partner your favorite booties with a breezy floral print dress.
Cuffed jeans
Your favorite jeans can get a spring-like flavor by cuffing them. Take a pair of straight leg or boyfriend jeans, roll them up a couple times, then show off your sensational spring sandals.
Do it with accessories
If the weather in your area stays cold for a little longer, you can still put a spring in your step. Add a little spring style to your winter outfits with accessories. A floral print scarf, colorful chunky jewelry or a bright handbag can add a springtime pop of color to any look.
