As we transition from summer to fall, look for shoes that combine elements from both seasons. For example, these Naya ‘Kasha’ pumps are a hot choice.

The two-tone brown leather makes these shoes a cool option for fall and the open-toe makes them workable for the end of summer. These pumps have plenty of interesting details, like the buckled strap across the vamp, lace-up front and recycled cork sole.
You can get these shoes right now at Nordstrom, priced at $160. Wear these lace up pumps with everything from a boho-chic skirt to cropped jeans.

Even though summer isn’t here yet, fall fashions are hitting the stores. If you are shopping for one pair of shoes for fall, consider splurging on a pair of designer platform pumps.
This season, pumps are hot with rich fabrics (suede and velvet), unique patterns (snake patterns and animals prints) and interesting embellishments (from studs to sequins).
Two of our favorite fall shoe trends are tweed and leopard print.

Tweed
Get into tweed this fall with these Oscar de la Renta pumps. These shoes feature a ladylike tweed fabric with pretty colors and plenty of texture. These shoes have a 5-inch stacked heel and 3/4-inch platform. You can get these pumps in green, navy or red tweed, priced at $745 at Neiman Marcus.

Leopard
Leopard pumps have been trendy for the last few years, and this fall it’s more of the same. Look for leopard print pumps with mixed textures, like these cap-toe pumps from Jimmy Choo. These shoes feature a ladylike style with leopard print dyed calf hair and a glossy black patent cap-toe detailed with little silver chains. You can get the “Blend” pumps now for $795.

When Jessica Simpson shoes originally came out years ago, they were…well, for a lack of a better word, tacky. The price tag was cheap but they looked cheap too.
In recent years, I’ve started to change my mind about the Jessica Simpson shoe line. For spring, these textured leather wedges really caught my eye.
Everyone knows that wedges are all the rage and these are a little different. The Jessica Simpson ‘Taz’ sandal features wide straps of pleated textured leather atop sculpted platform wedge.

Though I don’t like them in black, they are a hot bargain in Mushroom (shown). At just $88.95, they’d make a welcome addition to your spring and summer wardrobe. And since the heel is closed, you could wear them into fall.
Also check out these trendy espadrilles.

Sure, Earth Day is over but your commitment to be more eco-conscious should last all year. Treat yourself to eco-friendly footwear. A number of fantastic eco-friendly shoe lines are available these days. One of my favorites is Børn.
Børn shoes are hand-sewn, utilizing less adhesives and cements, as well as fewer internal components. Instead of manmade dyes, their leathers are tanned using all-natural vegetable dyes. Their embellishments and ornamentation are organic rather than synthetic or plastic.

One shoe you’ll love is the Børn ‘Flower’ Sandal, just under $95. With a 4 1/4-inch chunky heel and a blooming flower on top, these shoes scream spring.
You can shop for Børn shoes at bornshoes.com, as well as at department stores and boutiques.

Sometimes I think designers put out certain shoes just for shock value. You’ve seen them on the runways with their crazy heels and unique architecturally designs.
If you are into extreme footwear, you have plenty of options to choose from right now at Neiman Marcus. Here are three of our favorite extreme shoes.

Alexander McQueen Floral-Heel T-Strap Wedge ($995)

Diane von Furstenberg Artemis Peep-Toe Sandal ($325)

Miu Miu Lace-Up Double Mary Jane Sandal ($950)
I don’t know if any of these shoes are worth splurging on, but they are certainly fun to check out.

The nautical trend is hot for spring. However, you don’t have to start wearing striped tops or sailor dresses to get into this trend. You can do it subtly with a great pair of nautical shoes.
Partner nautical-inspired footwear with whatever you are wearing, from white eyelet dresses to crisp capris.

Tory Burch Two-Tone Elastic Espadrille Wedge
These shoes combine some of the season’s hottest fashion trends — the wedge heel and the nautical look. This navy/cream striped sandal can be paired with contrasting patterns (like polka dots or florals) for a unique spring style that can’t be beat. Get these Tory Burch espadrille wedges at Bergdorf Goodman for $175.00.
Sperry Top-Sider ‘Southport’ Slingback Wedge
Top-Sider deck shoes get a whole new look. These canvas slingbacks are highlighted by rope laces and a cork wedge heel. These nautical-inpired shoes are available at Nordstrom in your choice of ivory or black. Priced at just $89.95, these wedges are a fantastic buy.

Dexter Ahoy Boat Moc
For a casual, cute option, check out the Dexter Ahoy Boat Mocs from Payless. These adorable red shoes features a canvas upper and comfortable style. Originally $26.99, these nautical flats are on sale now for $16.99 in limited quantities at Payless.com.

You don’t always have to wear heels to the office and out on the town. Flats come in so many cool styles these days, that you have plenty of options to choose from, including thong sandals, ballet flats, and unique oxfords.
Preppy little oxford flats are really trendy right now. The On the Move Flat by Miss L Fire is absolutely adorable.
These blue canvas shoes feature red stitching and trim, along with traditional oxford styling. You can wear these lace-up oxfords with everything from menswear-inspired trousers to a denim pencil skirt to a nautical dress.
These blue oxfords are available now at ModCloth for $84.99.

Denim is hotter than ever this spring. In addition to our favorite jeans, denim skirts, handbags, jackets and even shoes are making their way into the fashion scene.
At the Victoria Secret Swim Luncheon in Los Angeles on March 30th, Victoria Secret Angel Adriana Lima looked hot as always. And on Adriana’s feet were a fabulous pair of Cesare Paciotti denim pumps.

These fab denim strappy pumps will cost you a pretty penny. They are available at Cesare-Paciotti.com as well as Cesare Paciotti boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Bal Harbour, priced at $630. Pictured above, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel. Candice has been in the midst of controversy lately for her weight — or lack their of. Read more about Candice Swanepoel’s skin and bones at SheKnows.com.

This season, prints are a hot choice in fashion, from florals to stripes to abstracts. Let’s take a look at how to wear prints this spring.

Printed tunics
Tunics in tribal prints, floral patterns and other funky designs are a top choice right now. You can pair a tunic with your favorite leggings, jeans, capris and more. This gorgeous Alberto Makali Embellished Tunic features a brilliant kaleidoscopic pattern and sleeveless style that makes it perfect for springtime. Partner this top with a pair of slim white capris and flat sandals for a fresh look that can’t be beat.

Pleated print skirts
Pleated skirts can be worn just about everywhere, from work to a night out. The Perfect-Pleat Date Skirt is just perfect with its bold floral pattern and A-line silhouette. Wear this skirt with a sleeveless turtleneck as shown for a feminine, modern look. Add a fitted blazer and bright satchel for the office.

Nautical striped sandals
The nautical trend is hot this year. No one wants you to dress head-to-toe in a sailor outfit, but adding nautical shoes or accessories is a great way to ease into this trend. Check out the Juicy Couture Sea wedge sandals. Available in coral or regal blue and white stripes, these wedges feature knotted fabric straps and a 4 1/4-inch heel. You can order these shoes now at Zappos.com for just $95.00.
