This summer, getting into neon — but don’t over do it. Instead of wearing a neon yellow dress, add a single neon accessory to your white dress for daytime (or with a black dress at night).
Neon accessories can come in the form of everything from bags to belts. Here are some of our neon favorites, just in time for summer.
Skinny patent belt
Add this skinny belt in neon orange or neon yellow to any outfit. This faux patent belt easily wipes clean and is accented by a polished metal buckle. $30 at Gap.
Cat-eye sunglasses
Chic and cheap, these mod cat-eye wayfarer style sunglasses by SO are available in neon pink or bright yellow. Protect your eyes and look cool too in these affordable shades. On Sale for $12 at Kohl’s.
Unisex watch
Unisex watches are hot right now. This summer, pick up a watch in a vibrant neon shade. The Nooka Unisex line features cool watches with artsy-modern style. This neon blue polyurethane watch will add some oomph to your everyday look. Get the Nooka Unisex Zub Zirc watch for work or for play. $130 at Endless.
Neon tote
Grab a colorful tote bag in neon pink to add some flair to your summer wardrobe. With a bright bag, the lines should be simple. This Vemo faux leather tote bag fits the bill. It’s roomy enough to hold all your summertime essentials. $52 at YESSTYLE.

Three of fall’s hottest trends are ladylike designs, hand-held bags and shades of bordeaux. So if you are going to splurge on a designer bag for fall, make sure it covers all three.
We love the Miss Wu tote from Jason Wu in bordeaux calfskin. This gorgeous bag is feminine and simple with its ladylike structured frame, silver hardware and rich color.
This handbag will cost you a pretty penny ($2,495 at Neiman Marcus) but looks to be worth every cent.

Straw hats
Get into straw hats this summer, and they don’t have to be big floppy beach hats. Try a straw cowboy hat in traditional neutrals or fun colors. We love the Tarnish Crochet Straw Hat from Nordstrom with beaded detailing. For just $38, this hat is a fabulous buy.

Ladylike headbands
Pull your hair back with a headband embellished with beading, lace, ribbons and other ladylike accents. You’ll adore the Tasha ‘Sasha’ Head Wrap with its sculpted metallic flower and chunky pearl beads. This headband is the perfect way to deal with a bad hair day.

Citrus shades
The hottest colors for summertime are lemon yellow, tangerine and lime green. For an easy-going tote bag, pick up the Grovestand on the Go Tote from ModCloth. This fresh bag is the ideal alternative to paper or plastic for your grocery store trips. This eco-friendly tote is available for under $7 and it folds up into its own little fruit-shaped pouch.
