Transition Your Wardrobe From Winter to Spring

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

by Kori Ellis

When the cold weather fades away, boots and sweaters are tossed aside in favor of sundresses and sandals. To stretch your clothing budget and to ease your way into the season, you can incorporate many of your winter favorites into your spring wardrobe. With a little layering and some great transitional pieces, your early spring wardrobe will look fabulous.

Franco Sarto BootiesCardigans
Cardigan sweaters are staples during winter but they can also make their way into your spring rotation. Cardigans are perfect for cool mornings and evenings. Slip one on over your favorite strapless dress, tank top or tee. If the weather warms up in the afternoon, you can just slip it off. Denim jackets are also a fantastic choice for transitioning from winter to spring.

Peep-toe booties
Peep-toe booties are oh-so trendy and they aren’t just for wintertime. Because they have an open toe and oftentimes cut-out sides, you can wear these booties all year round. For spring, partner your favorite booties with a breezy floral print dress.

Cuffed jeans
Your favorite jeans can get a spring-like flavor by cuffing them. Take a pair of straight leg or boyfriend jeans, roll them up a couple times, then show off your sensational spring sandals.

Do it with accessories
If the weather in your area stays cold for a little longer, you can still put a spring in your step. Add a little spring style to your winter outfits with accessories. A floral print scarf, colorful chunky jewelry or a bright handbag can add a springtime pop of color to any look.

by Kori Ellis

Some women look sexy no matter what they are wearing. If your style is a little frumpy, sex it up just in time for Valentine’s Day with these simple tips.

Red lipsPut on a pencil skirt
Show off your curves in a figure flattering pencil skirt. This body-hugging skirts are on trend right now. They manage to be sexy while still looking professional.

Wear white
A crisp white blouse or a breezy white dress will always be sexy. Ignore the old adage that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day. White is sexy all year round.

Show some cleavage
There’s a fine line between sexy and sleazy when it comes to your wardrobe. Show a bit of cleavage when dressing for a date, but don’t over-expose yourself. Leave a little to his imagination.

Belt it
Draw attention to your feminine figure by putting on a belt. Whether you are wearing a body hugging dress, a fitted blazer or a slouchy tunic, cinch it with a unique belt.

Gloss up with red lipstick
Draw attention to your luscious pout with glossy, red lip color. Red lipstick is perfect for Valentine’s Day and any other day of the year that you want to look sexy.

Wear lacy bras and panties
No matter what you are wearing, from jeans to a business suit, wear lacy bras and panties underneath. Pretty lingerie makes you feel sexy and a little bit naughty.
